  • Peter's Persica

    Peter's Persica

    This new rose was given an Award of Merit at the Rochfords International Rose Trial in 2021, and is winner of the BBC Gardener’s World Live, Plant of the Year Award 2023. Peter’s Persica is unique in being a yellow, red-eyed persica climber with outstanding health, attractive light green foliage, and restrained growth to about 8 or 9 feet. The rose is named after British garden writer and broadcaster, Peter Seabrook MBE, (pictured). He admired this rose very much, and hoped it would support his charity work, including the Colegrave Seabrook Foundation, encouraging young people into horticulture.   • Rose For Your Eyes Only

    For Your Eyes Only

    Rose of the Year 2015, this is certainly something very different. This floribunda Persica rose is free flowering with blooms sporting a distinctive ‘eye’. The leading edge of the petals have a lighter hue, which gradually diffuses to a darker shade, towards the centre. Flower colour is predominantly pink with hints of apricot and salmon. Growth up to 3ft high and wide with profuse and shiny foliage. Very highly disease resistant. Known in the USA as ‘Ringo All Star’ (Cheweyesup)

  • Rose Child of Mine

    Child of Mine

    A very colourful orange to gold patio rose up to 2.3ft. This rose has an even, bushy habit with shiny, dark green foliage. It was created from crossing two floribundas, both of which had miniatures in their breeding. This variety works perfectly in a flower border or grown in a pot. A very healthy rose. (Chewtanbank)

    A repeat-flowering, climbing rose to 8ft high with toothed and glossy, dark green foliage. Clusters of double, ruffled flowers in shades of apricot-pink with a strong and a fruity fragrance are borne from summer into early autumn. A very healthy, no-spray rose.     A striking floribunda Persica rose, bright yellow with a distinctive red ‘eye’. Eye of the Tiger has been awarded a Gold Medal in Lyon, a People’s Choice award at The Hague and a Certificate of Merit in the UK.     A unique ground cover rose with creeping flat growth, dense, petite foliage and profuse, continuous, fragrant flowers. Centre Stage will also climb up and over anything it meets in the garden.     This one has a lot of fans. This light pink patio climbing rose is a low maintenance bush, featuring miniature foliage and clusters of light pink, single blooms. It will go on repeat flowering throughout the summer and autumn. It looks splendid climbing up a pergola or trained along a trellice, next to to the front door. Ultimate height around 9ft.     A heavenly scented orange-salmon climbing rose, up to 10ft. Glossy foliage and HT type blooms. Scent from Heaven is the winner of Rose of the Year 2017, a Certificate of Merit in the Royal National Rose Society Trials, and an award for its fragrance at the Paris International Rose Trials.   • Scented Carpet

    Scented Carpet

    A sweetly scented, ground cover rose that will grow to around 2.5ft tall. It has glossy green petite foliage and clusters of fragrant, single, pink blooms, with white centres and distinctive yellow stamens. This variety is a member of the Systylae group, which means the fragrance is diffused into the air and can be detected from up to 30ft away. This is a low maintenance rose and will look good filling a space in the border, or grown on its own as a feature. Known in the USA as ‘Oso Easy Fragrant Spreader’. (Chewground)

    Lilac Bouquet

    This sweetly-scented, climbing rose will exceed all expectations. Very free flowering, repeating throughout the summer and into autumn, with semi-double blooms from deep lilac-coloured buds.     The latest patio climber from Warners Roses is a variety that represents a step forward in its resistance to fungal diseases. Vibrant salmon pink blooms repeat flower throughout summer and autumn. Onward & Upward has upright growth to 7ft, with its flowers and dark green foliage growing, from top to bottom.     Award-winning floribunda Persica rose with creamy, lilac-pink bloom and a distinctive purple eye with prominent stamens.     New, 2023/24. An outstanding rose. Arizona Sun could be one of the best floribunda introductions of the last 10 years. A similar colour to Rosa Golden Beauty, but much greater health.     Anton

    New 2023/24. With lots of bright and cheerful red to orange flowers and great health, Anton will work well as a compact bedding rose or in a pot on the patio. Named in memory of Chris’s late brother Anthony, who bravely fought Motor Neurone Disease, a percentage of the royalties of Rosa Anton will be donated to the MND charity. (Chewresourceful)

    Winner of the Gold Standard Award, Gardeners Glory is a vigorous climbing rose with Buttercup yellow, fragrant, double flowers. Very healthy and easy to train up a trellis or pergola. This variety has mid-green, glossy foliage and repeat flowers throughout summer and autumn. (Chewability)

    Little Rambler

    An extremely healthy, repeat flowering, rambling rose of restrained growth. Very easily managed, pliant stems, which can be trained to any desired shape. It has small, dainty, soft pink flowers with a sweet fragrance. (Chewramb)

    Flamina

    Known as Rosa Flamina in France, this compact floribunda has clusters of hot red and orange blooms opening from dark red buds. Dark green, semi glossy foliage is tinged with red. A very healthy variety, Flamina will continue flowering across summer and autumn. It is available to buy in France and is coming soon to the USA. (Chewizard)

  • Rose Lest We Forget

    Lest We Forget

    This bushy, bold red rose is named for the Bomber Command Memorial Association. The red flowers are enlivened by a yellow centre contrasting with dark glossy green foliage. A proportion of the sales have gone to support the fund for the 55,000 aircrew and support staff, who lost their lives in World War II. This variety has won several awards including a Gold Standard and a Certificate of Merit in the UK. Another no spray rose, with excellent health. (Chewresolute)

  • Smiling Eyes

    Smiling Eyes

    Smiling Eyes has a mass of apricot blooms, and features the distinctive pink eye of the Persica hybrids. As a small shrub, it will grow to around 3ft x 3ft. Being a neatly shaped bush, it works well in a pot, as well as the garden border. This rose is very highly disease resistant and winner of three international gold medals. (Chewrocko)
